<h1>Mailing Lists</h1>
<p>Currently, the main development mailing list is hosted at
<a href="http://vger.kernel.org/vger-lists.html#linux-media">vger.kernel.org</a>.
To subscribe, just send an email to majordomo@vger.kernel.org, with the body of the email containing
subscribe linux-media. You may just
<a href="mailto:majordomo@vger.kernel.org?body=subscribe linux-media">click here</a> to
ask your mailer for generating such email.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://vger.kernel.org/vger-lists.html#linux-media">linux-media@vger.kernel.org</a>
archives are a available on a few sites:</p>

<h2>Subscription on the lists hosted at linuxtv.org</h2>
<p>
In order to contribute to the development, you can subscribe to
one of the mailinglists via the
<a href="/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo">Mailman interface</a>.
</p>
<p>
If you are looking for the
<a href="https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/video4linux-list">video4linux users list</a>, It is
hosted by Redhat.
It is expected that this list will be gradually replaced by
<a href="http://vger.kernel.org/vger-lists.html#linux-media">linux-media@vger.kernel.org</a></p>
<h2>List archives</h2>
<p>
We changed the mailing list software from Ecartis to GNU Mailman
on Feb. 12 2005, and we now use the list archives integrated
into Mailman. Unfortunately this means that the older list
archives (which were kept HTML generated by Mhonarc) will be
linked separately.
</p>
<p>
Note: You might find archives for some of the lists elsewhere on the net,
e.g. on <a href="http://gmane.org/">gmane.org</a>,
<a href="http://pvrweb.com/bbs-old/">http://pvrweb.com/bbs-old/</a> or
<a href="http://www.mail-archive.com/">mail-archive.com</a>.<br>
</p>
<p>
Mailman list archives (starting Feb. 12 2005):
<ul>
<li><a href="/pipermail/linux-dvb/">linux-dvb</a>.
It is expected that this list will be gradually replaced by
<a href="http://vger.kernel.org/vger-lists.html#linux-media">linux-media@vger.kernel.org</a>
<li><a href="/pipermail/linux-dvd/">linux-dvd</a>
<li><a href="/pipermail/linuxtv-cvs/">linuxtv-cvs</a>
<li><a href="/pipermail/linuxtv-softmpeg/">linuxtv-softmpeg</a>
<li><a href="/pipermail/mpeg2/">mpeg2</a>
<li><a href="/pipermail/vdr/">vdr</a>
</ul>
</p>
