I was thinking about a solution like that too (I didn't know there allready was software which does that). But I noticed that at least here in holland that doesn't work because the logo allways disappears 10-20 secs. before the commercial block and reappears 10-20 secs. after the commercial block.
But this could be usefull if you want to cut manually and don't want to search with ffwd or rwd through the movie.
