I really don't want to heat up this discussion, but I definitely have
to agree with what Ralph says: standards are the way to go! IMO it makes no
sense to adapt ANY program or driver to make it work together with another
program that DOESN'T adhere to the standards. As my knowledge about this
whole MPEG stuff is still pretty limited, I can't possibly say whether
the Linux DVB driver's output is 100% standard, but as long as nobody
can quote a passage from an official document that proves otherwise, we
should refrain from using terms like "bad service". None of the users
of the Linux DVB driver (inclucing myself) is paying Ralph or the company
he works for any money (or do they?). It is my understanding of Open Source
projects that everybody can use them and if there is a problem, can contribute
to fix it. I'm sure Ralph would be more than happy to fix any non-standard
behaviour of the Linux DVB driver that he is made aware of.

Well, I hope I don't get flamed for this...
