I noticed the same behavior, too. There are a second effect, if i remuxe
 recordings
to MPEG2 (with mplex) all recordings after the 24.05 (Date i have installed
 the last CVS-Snapshot)
will display a wrong play-lenght (eg. 9min instead 51min) in any Player i
have tested. This will happend also with
the original .vdr. Recordings i made befor i change the driver will display
 the correct playtime.

Mostly i tested with the Elecard Mpeg2 Player because it is able to play
 vdr-recordings without modifications.
