Thanx for hint, I will test it.

On a short look at the sources, it seems to me the epg file is
only written, but never read, so this file is only for other
tools use, right ?

What do you mean with "changing the channels very fast" ? When
I have a look at the Video output at the time the thread is
doing EPG, the channels seem to be switching about every 5 seconds.
