[linux-dvb] Strange: fileds of interlaced movie in wrong order in vdr/vob file

I noticed a really strange thing with "interlaced" videos recorded
with VDR:

- -recorded a TV production (series, talk show,...) that is
 "interlaced"

- -converted with "mplex -t DVD ..." into a vob file (mplex from
 mpegtools that comes with the DVB drivers package)

- -in the resulting video I have the video fields in this order:

 b2t1 b3t2 b4t3 ...

 with bx a bottom field and tx a top field

That means that the one field (the bottom lines) is one picture too
early for every whole picture. That results is a disturbed playback.
When I change the order to b1t1 b2t2 ... (as it should be) with some
VirtualDub filters, it's all correct.

(I used some Win tools for viewing the single fields, but they should
work fine like they do with all progressive movie material. Because
of
this, they shouldn't be the reason for the error.)


Now the great question:

Which program causes this wrong output?

I think it's either VDR or mplex.

When I view the "interlaced" TV-productions with VDR, the playback is
all ok, but that doesn't mean that VDR stores the fields in the
right way. It could also mean that it only does the same wrong thing
when loading the video for replaying in reverse order.

An important question for me is if VDR makes a difference between
interlaced and progressive material when storing it in vdr files and
if mplex makes this difference.

I hope some of you programmers know what code can lead to this error
and which couldn't be the troublemaker.



I'm using VDR 0.72 with drivers 0.8.2.
