[linux-dvb] replay control in general

OK.

I also think that it would be nice to have 2 or 3 speeds for fast
forward/rewind. Currently only I-frames are displayed what should
give roughly 12x speed. I found it difficult to stop at the right
position if searching through a recording.

What if vdr would display every I-frame 4 times -> would give 3x speed;
2 times -> 6 speed.

This could be controlled only with left/right key.

right - start fast forward with speed 3x
right - accelerate to speed 6x
right - accelerate to speed 12x
left - slow down to speed 6x

The idea is that right key accelerate and left key slows down. If
you start with left key, you would be in fast rewind mode and
left would accelerate, right slow down accordingly. The function
of pause/play (up/down) and slowmotion could stay unchanged.

Anybody else who would like this?

I just looked at the source and it seems that it wouldn't be much
work to do this. I would work to contribute a patch if there is
some public demand and a chance to get this changes to the main
source.

Bye.
