[linux-dvb] Re: Problems with dd recording from pro7
Hi,
I just wanted to mention that I experienced the exact same problem. In my
case I observed that sometimes a driver reload doesn't even work, I had to
reboot the whole machine to make it record the DD stream. I have no clue
why this is, but that's what I observed.
Regards,
Robert

Subject: [linux-dvb] Problems with dd recording from pro7
Hi,
first of all i like to say that vdr 0.84 with the latest patches drives
has really become stable !!!
Great Work ! From now on this version will be of productive use for me :-)
However, a little problem still remains:
The dolby digital pid of Pro 7 can only be tuned after a fresh reload of
the drivers - some channel switching (or replaying recordings ?) - and vdr
is not able to set the pro 7 dd pid !??
I get the following error message:
"Jul 25 21:19:24 linux vdr[12431]: ERROR (dvbapi.c,2089): Device or
resource busy"
And thats why the dd stream isn't recorded :-(
Jul 25 21:19:24 linux vdr[12431]: switching to channel 15
Jul 25 21:19:24 linux vdr[12431]: record

/video0/@Pro-7_DD/2001-07-25.

Jul 25 21:19:24 linux vdr[12431]: recording to

Jul 25 21:19:24 linux vdr[12431]: ERROR (dvbapi.c,2089): Device or
resource busy
Jul 25 21:19:24 linux vdr[12474]: output thread started (pid=12474)
Jul 25 21:19:24 linux vdr[12475]: input thread started (pid=12475)
This still seems to be driver bug !?
But any idea how to solve this, except for reloading the drivers just
excactly before recording something with dd ?
Martin.
