[linux-dvb] AW: No Teletext with siemens_dvb-0.9.4-2002-05-20 and 2002-06-23

Hi,

there seems to be a patch for that "problem", even
though nobody seems to know, why this was changed
in the DVB-driver?!?

See Re: Teletext broken in 20020603 CVS driver snapshot?
from Douglas Kosovic on Mon, 22 Jul 2002 .

I have the same problem, but didn't try the patch yet...

Regards

Jörg

Betreff: [linux-dvb] No Teletext with siemens_dvb-0.9.4-2002-05-20 and
2002-06-23

Hi,

running VDR 1.0.4 (with AIO from 2002-06-22) I have problems receiving
teletext on all channels.
It seems to have some dependencies to the DVB driver.
To get it clear: I'm not using the option "TELETEXT=1" in VDR, but the
teletext decoder in my TV.
Here a short test list:
  siemens_dvb-0.9.4-2002-04-01: Full teletext
  siemens_dvb-0.9.4-2002-05-20: Teletext only with driver
  siemens_dvb-0.9.4-2002-06-23: Teletext only with driver
siemens_dvb-0.9.4 recent CVS: Teletext only with driver

Where "Full teletext" means: I can view teletext with my TV teletext decoder
(no VDR built in teletext option!) both when the driver is loaded and when
VDR
is running

"Teletext only with driver" means: With "make insmod" on the cannel n-tv I
can
view teletext with my TV teletext decoder, but when I start VDR the teletext
is no longer available (like if the signal would be missing).

The only thing I changed is the running DVB driver version, the card is a
full
featured Hauppauge WinDVB-s. Unluckily, the driver from april is a bit
unstable here and the newer ones are better -- except of the missing
teletext.

Any hints?
