Try rtuxzap -m, this should start mplayer and pipe the mpeg stream
into it automatically. You can switch channels on the console, or with
an IR remote, if you have one that works with lirc.
I haven't tested it a lot, though.
You need the rtuxzap from http://www.metzlerbros.org/dvb.
