[linux-dvb] Broadlogic vs (my) Nexus-S (1-0, :-( )
Hello ML,
These are the parameters of Broadlogic I'm using (tuning):
Signal Strength 53 %
Signal [Lock]
Data [Lock]
Viterbi Rate 3 / 4
Satellite Frequency 12.5582 GHz
L Band Frequency 1.9582 GHz
Symbol Rate 27500 KSym/s
Polarization Vertical / Right
22 KHz Switch On - High LNB
Current LNB Settings
High Frequency 10.6000
Low Frequency 9.7500
(PID XYZ, with UDP multicast packets)
That's OK: Low Band Freq = Sat Freq - High Freq.
Now I try to tune my Nexus with dvbtune (CVS drivers of today):
# ./dvbtune -f 12558200 -p V -tone 1 -s 27500 -n XYZ
Using DVB card "STV0299/TSA5059/SL1935 based"
tuning DVB-S to L-Band:1073908504, Pol:V Srate=27500000, 22kHz=on

Monitoring:
# ./dvbtune -f 12558200 -p V -tone 1 -s 27500 -n 5636 -m
Signal=0, Verror=65416, SNR=27378dB, BlockErrors=0, ()
Signal=0, Verror=65464, SNR=27126dB, BlockErrors=0, ()
Signal=0, Verror=65464, SNR=27186dB, BlockErrors=0, ()
Signal=0, Verror=65464, SNR=27336dB, BlockErrors=0, ()
Signal=0, Verror=65464, SNR=27384dB, BlockErrors=0, ()

Signal=0, Verror=65464, SNR=27549dB, BlockErrors=0, ()
Signal=0, Verror=65472, SNR=27435dB, BlockErrors=0, ()
And now some questions:
1) why L-Band:1073908504?
2) why FE_TIMEDOUT?
3) which are the differences between AV7110 and AV7111?
4) sometimes dvbtune says me: "value too large" and sometimes it works
(at this frequency, 12558200 KHz). why?
5) why firmware loaded every time? is it located in a ram instead of a
flash-rom?
6) why "scan" utility creates - every time - different channels.conf
(BTW, all channels have "inversion off")?
TIA,
A.
