[linux-dvb] Re: How to use a bt8xx chip based card?

Hello Nico !

Where found this mplayer patch ?
Now i'm hear the "click" sound, but the dvb stream not read the stream from the device.

The DVB-1.0.0pre3 not supported my card, this card only support the dvb-kernel driverset.

Thank you

it seems all your devices are registered and working, so tuning *should*
work.

You can try 1.0.0pre3 drivers, often they are more stable that dvb-kernel
(which is always in development).

You can also search in the mailing list the messages regarding your card:
they will surely help you.

When you have the drivers working you can try my patch to see
DVB directly from mplayer (no dvbstream required) and select channels from
an OSD menu.

what command did you run?

if you have Hotbird on the first (or only) lnb try this:

dvbstream -f 11766 -p V -s 27500 -o -ps 160 80 | mplayer -

if you have Astra

dvbstream -f 12480 -p V -s 27500 -o -ps 1791 1792 | mplayer -

do you seen anything?

this link will help you to test the frequencies :

You need dvbstream 0.4-pre3 from sourceforge cvs

http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvbtools/

and if you have a dual-lnb dish you also need a diseqc patch for dvbstream
that I posted to this list months ago
