[linux-dvb] Problems with NOVA-T

Hi,

Sorry when you get this mail twice, I had mailproblems yesterday night and it seemed now
to come through.

I have a problem installing my Hauppauge NOVA-T card under linux. The card worked
in another machine. I think the problem is that it is not loading the firmware
from the windows dll. I can remember that I got a message with the other pc in
/var/log/messages saying that it is about to load the firmware...now I got nothing
(as if tda1004x_init in frontend/tda1004x.c does not get executed).
Even if I delete the file, the module is not complaining.
I used the 1.0 release as well I tried the cvs from right now. No difference.

Can anybody help me with that problem?

Thanks, Oliver

Here is what I did:

- fresh redhat 8.0 install
- install plain 2.4.22 with the options needed
- extract dvb source in parallel to linux source code
- extract the dll from the technotrend zip and put it to /etc/dvb/tda1004x.mc
- change to dvb source and 'make'
- cd drivers
- ./makedev.napi
- make insmod
- scan then gives me a couple of lines of this:

./scan
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
