[linux-dvb] tvtime, dvb-c and a newbie question

Hi there,

I just received my dvb-c card today and I've been trying to get it to
work. The problem is, I don't understand how it all works and I don't
seem to find a gentle howto about this stuff.

I'm using the dvb-kernel drivers with 2.4.21 kernel. I compiled and
installed the modules without problems, but after that I don't know what
to do.

I'm trying to use it with tvtime, but I don't seem to be able to tune to
any channels. How does this work with an application like tvtime?  That
is, does tvtime use the V4L tuner API to change channels, or do you need
to use a separate app, or what?
