[linux-dvb] Re: Some progress on Siemens DVB-C analog TV module

Hello Michael,

Zapping say only, /dev/video0 is capable of capture 0x0 :-(

Any solution?
You're using "dvb-kernel", right? It might be possible that "zapping" does not check correctly which channel really has a usable tuner.

Please try "xawtv". It honours the tuner/no-tuner flag correctly.

How do you scan with xawtv for analog senders? scantv from xawtv says
only: no tuner found.
You need to switch to the right input first. Input 0 is the dvb input, which has no tuner. Use input 1.

"scantv" won't work though, because it relies on parsing informations from the vertical blanking interval (vbi), which isn't implemented yet.

Select the frequency table "europe west" within "xawtv", then go to channels SE10 to SE17 with cursor up/down. There should be plenty of analog tv channels there.

CU
Michael.
