VDR does not record PS, but PES (PS is PES with an additional "pack"
header which carries a SCR [system clock reference]). This is because
the AV7110 does not handle PS playback, only PES.

For PES playback, audio is synced to the video PTS, which is OK because
the stream comes on-demand from disk so there's no problem with buffer
over/underruns due to synchronization. For TS from air the decoder has
to follow closely the timing of the transmitter, hence the additional
PCR. If the PCR PID is not set correctly, the AV7110 will have trouble
to sync audio and video, and may decide to run asynchronously.

See iso13181-1 and iso13181-4 for details.
