[linux-dvb] VDR-(S)VCD's that are NTSC

Hi there,

I've got a problem here with VDR-1.2.6 and the svcd-plugin: Some of my SVCD's seem to be NTSC-coded. I get only black/white picture, and the screen seems a bit distorted.

Some time ago someone told me that there are sveral solutions:

- use the RGB-Connection on J2: As I've got a 2.1 card, there's no J2.

- buy a TV set that accepts NTSC: No, I won't. No budget left this and next year (spent on a Surround decoder :-)

- use mplayer.sh: apart from the fact that I've got an EMIA M6000 which has a quite slow CPU, I couln'd get mplayer to do any conversion to PAL.

As you can see, none of these solutions works for me.

Now for my questions:

- is there another possible solution?

- is there a way to (offline) convert a NTSC-SVCD to a PAL-SVCD? Any pointers to FAQ's, URL's and so on are greatly appreciated!

TIA, Michael
