In my first mail about this (about a week ago), I was only asking if one should
expect it to work. I know it's a brand new feature in the linux world and
that even in the windows world many things don't work like they should, if it
comes to ACPI. Notebooks are doing it a bit better. But with desktop machines
nearly nobody cares if the are ready to use in 10 seconds or in 120 seconds.

But Linux and DVB (and several other multimedia projects) push the point of
view towards the embedded area.
Here some other rules apply and many people did not expect Linux to play
such an important rule here. It is the right path and it should be continued!
ACPI will be a new step to be climbed - and another wall held by Windows
will break. ACPI will offer faster power on and reduced power consumption-
both features highly welcome for HTPCs.

I'm a professional software developer for about 15 years now (although
in a complete different area). And I know from my own experience:
thing stay buggy, if users don't try to use features and report bugs and
create the demand that it should work.

I appreciate the good work the Linux/DVB developer community did and
encourage them to continue - also regarding ACPI ;-)
