So I am.

doesn't look right.
finally, I have the tda10046 driver written, but:

For some reason both ALPS frontends are registering themselves as well!
Since the demod in the TDMB7 does not has no ID register and the i2c
ping is broken on the USB boxes (the USB transceiver simply does not
supports this - and IIRC teh reported error values are bogus) you should
not load this driver unless you really own a Nova-USB with TDMB7. If you
can improve the probing code your patches are highly welcome!
