[linux-dvb] Problems on first tuning on particular station

Hi all,

I seem to have a problem tuning to one particular channel after I first
boot my system. Here's what I mean. After a fresh boot, I got the
following:

mythtv@tv:~$ tzap '7 Digital'
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 177500000 Hz
status 00 | signal c9c9 | snr c4c4 | ber 0001fffe | unc ffffffff |
status 0c | signal c9c9 | snr 6a6a | ber 00004e92 | unc 00000000 |
status 01 | signal c9c9 | snr 0000 | ber 0001fffe | unc 00000000 |
status 04 | signal c9c9 | snr 5454 | ber 00006154 | unc 00000000 |
status 01 | signal c9c9 | snr 0000 | ber 0001fffe | unc 00000000 |
status 0c | signal c9c9 | snr 5757 | ber 0001afac | unc 00000000 |
status 05 | signal c9c9 | snr 0000 | ber 00013bf6 | unc 00000000 |

mythtv@tv:~$ tzap '7 Digital'
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 177500000 Hz
status 00 | signal c9c9 | snr baba | ber 0001fffe | unc 00000000 |
status 0c | signal c9c9 | snr 6666 | ber 000086a4 | unc 00000000 |
status 01 | signal c9c9 | snr 0000 | ber 0001fffe | unc 00000000 |
status 0c | signal c9c9 | snr 5555 | ber 0000611c | unc 00000000 |

mythtv@tv:~$ tzap 'Nine Digital'
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 191625000 Hz
status 00 | signal caca | snr cbcb | ber 0001fffe | unc 00000000 |
status 1f | signal caca | snr fefe | ber 00000182 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK

mythtv@tv:~$ tzap '7 Digital'
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 177500000 Hz
status 00 | signal c9c9 | snr d2d2 | ber 0001fffe | unc 00000000 |
status 1f | signal c9c9 | snr fdfd | ber 0000045c | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK

As you can see, it wouldn't tune to 7 Digital first, but worked OK if I
tune 'Nine Digital' first and then go back. Here's my
.tzap/channels.conf entries for the two:

7 Digital:177500000:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_7_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8:HIERARCHY_NONE:769:770:1328

Nine Digital:191625000:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_7_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_16:HIERARCHY_NONE:519:660:1072

There's another station that has FEC_2_3 and GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8 and I
can tune that OK; the only difference left is that they're on UHF
instead of VHF. Here's that entry:

SBS DIGITAL 1:536625000:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_7_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_2_3:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8:HIERARCHY_NONE:161:81:785

All our stations are QAM_64, 7 MHz, hierarchy none, inversion off.

Any suggestions on what might cause this?

Thanks
Hamish
