[linux-dvb] Re: AverTV DVB-T un-viewable QAM_64 channels (QAM_16 work perfectly) ...massive noise

Hi Rick,

The Avermedia DVB-T does need a strong signal.. at least 65% or better.

There is a revision 2 Avermedia due out in a month or so which will be
using the Samsung DVB-T, which uses a Zarlink MT352 demodulator - this
seems to have a much better reception with a lower signal.

I've got a sample unit which I'm testing at the moment, but unfortunately
I haven't had much personal time to test it using the current DVB drivers
- something I'm hoping to do soon though. I'll let the list know how it
goes if there is interest.

cheers,

Gizmomelb

Thanks I just bought one of these cards today and had everything working
fine in 30 minutes including the remote etc for mythtv... all my QAM_64
issues etc are resolved and i have a perfect picture

It looks like the avermedia card just needs some mega strong signal,
??possibly?? because its using some outdated technology

Also, just one problem with your remote config there..... the volume +
and - are set up to do left and right, not [ and ] for volume up and
down in myth, but then.....if you set them to [ and ] the arrow keys
wouldnt work for directions in mythmusic etc.... how can we get round that?

Kind Regards
