[linux-dvb] please help.... (was: nova-s SE)

Hello,

I recently received a mail by Michael Uemminghaus who learned from my 
posts to the list that he had to use the budget-ci driver for his 
Hauppauge WinTV Nova-S SE - even if this card has no CI.
Perhaps the documentation for the budget/budget-ci drivers should 
mention that, it is really confusing - not to say frustrating: patching 
the PCI IDs for the budget card into the budget driver - finding out 
that this does not work - and only by accident finding the correct PCI 
IDs in the budget-ci driver.

He also mentioned that the card worked on his PC with Linux 2.6.4 and 
linuxtv-dvb.1.1.1.tar.bz2 (without the help of Windows). I tried that on 
my PC but the d**n thing still shows no video data.

Isn't there anybody who has at least a slight imagination of why the 
card tunes correctly but does not deliver any data?

Bei mir läufts jetzt, ich habe kein Windows. Zuerst habe ich versucht 
die PCI ID der Special Edition in den budget modul zu patchen, aber 
damit gab es nie ein FE LOCK.
Erst duch die Mails im Forum bin ich darauf gekommen das budget-ci Modul 
zu nehmen, also vielen Dank! Ich habe SuSE 9.1 32 bit auf einem MSI 
K7N2G-ILSR NForce2 Board (Kernel 2.6.4(-52), Kerneltreiber). Ich hatte 
allerdings das stv0299.ko und auch das budget.ko modul gegen das aus 
linuxtv-dvb-1.1.1.tar.bz2 ausgetauscht.
Es sollte also höchstens stv0299.ko unterschiedlich sein. Meine modprobe 
ausgabe und auch die szap ausgabe ist soweit identisch. (status, signal 
und snr bewegen sich im selben Bereich).
(Ich habe auch nichts dagegen wenn die Mail im Forum repliziert wird)
