[linux-dvb] Avermedia 771 on Gentoo

Hi There,

I'm new to the list, but, having read through the list and searched the gentoo
forums, am unable to get my Avermedia 771 card working on my gentoo box.

I have a gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.5r1 kernel running. Here's what I have done so
far:

Grabbed a CVS snapshot of the linuxtv-dvb dated 2004-06-21 (the latest build
was giving me compile errors as described here:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=146327&start=25)

applied the makelinks script to patch the kernel

selected Zarlink MT352 based driver, as well as the Nebula/Pinnacle PCI card
driver and some other things, as described on the gentoo forum post above.

Compiled the kernel, rebooted, ran:

modprobe bttv i2c_hw=1 card=0x68
modprobe bt878
modprobe dvb-bt8xx
modprobe mt352

Which shows up in dmesg as:

Linux video capture interface: v1.00
bttv: driver version 0.9.12 loaded
bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture
bttv: Bt8xx card found (0).

But trying to scan for channels gives me:

Done.

I'm in North London, so I am 99% sure the transmitter is right. I have had the
card working with the same aerial under windows. Anyone with any ideas?

Thanks,
Ben
