i allways scale (or expand) to 720x576. works great here.

according to a formaly sent mail to the mailinglist:

DVB (PAL) resolutions are: 	352x576
				480x576
				528x576
				544x576
				704x576
				720x576

Don't know for sure about ntsc resolutions but i think ist the same,
only ...x480.
