[vdr] dvd-plugin

Hello List,

I'm using vdr 1.1.12 with dvd-plugin 0.2.0
I've tested the system with two different dvd drives (nec dv5800A and pioneer
106SZ/2) and with two different dvd movies ("The Right Stuff" -"Der Stoff aus
dem die Helden sind"- and "Mission Impossible I")
Every time I try to replay the movie I get the following error messages in
/var/log/messages:

with NEC-Drive

vdr[1012]: input thread started (pid=1012)
kernel: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0 at scsi0, channel 0, id
kernel: sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 20x/48x cd/rw xa/form2 cddaOct 27 19:17:42
kernel: sr0: CDROM (ioctl) reports ILLEGAL REQUEST.
kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:00, sector 213144

and the hole vdr (not Linux) system crashes

with the pioneer-drive

kernel: sr0: CDROM (ioctl) reports ILLEGAL REQUEST.
kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:00, sector 213248
kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:00, sector 213300
kernel: sr0: CDROM (ioctl) reports ILLEGAL REQUEST.
vdr[1626]: dvd: no translation found for 'Error fetching
vdr[1626]: ERROR: Error fetching data from DVD!
kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:00, sector 217280
vdr[1626]: input thread ended (pid=1626)

the vdr dosen't crash and shows the error message:
Error fetching data from DVD

What happens here?? The DVD drive is an ATAPI drive with SCSI emulation.....
but that shouldn't matter!

I've installed the dvd-plugin like mentioned in Hubertus Sandmanns Manual!

Thanks in advance!
