Although that's probably more to do with the bundled application rather 
than if the hardware drivers exist for Linux.

For example, the Hauppage PVR250 only mentions Windows support on the 
box and in the details, but you can download Linux drivers from the 
website, because now Hauppage actively encourage Linux support.
