Nope,

Kiosque is indeed CanalSatellite France pay-per-view service.
La Cinquieme, OTOH, is FTA (last time I checked, and lyngsat confirms this).
Taquilla belongs to Canalsatelite Digital (Spain).

On another - only very slightly related - topic (we're talking about
Mediaguard here), I must say I've been on this mailing list for months, I
find it very interesting, but I'm not a VDR user yet (for those who are into
statistics), for various reasons:
- (flame bait) I'm not deep into linux yet
- (question) No easy way to integrate subtitles in recordings (I may be
wrong here): am I right in assuming that the teletext plugin only works for
"live" viewing? [I'm a lousy C programer]
- (main reason) poor Aston-CAM support with the driver, as several (well, at
least one) Canalsatellite subscribers have reported here. I know Klaus has
mentioned this many many times on the list devoted to the driver (sorry...
forgot the name of that list), and I know there's some kind of solution
using the original firmware and a patched driver, but I don't want to use an
OSD-less, unstable, VDR. Moreover, if I understood things correctly, the
1.1.x versions are incompatible with the older drivers, and the older
drivers are the only ones which provide some degree of support for the
Astoncrypt/Mediaguard-CAM. I'm afraid French-speaking/Mediaguard users will
be left behind if the situation with CAM support does not improve.

Is there any way we can weigh on this situation or are we completely stuck
without support from the people at Convergence? Or have I completely
misunderstood the situation?

Philippe
