I have had the same problem with Hauppauge and onboard-ir. The togglebit was
wrong.
You press a key and it will be repeated until you press a key again.

Watch at the output vom lirc in the logs an you see two codes. You press key
number five you see
something like that (only an example).

lirc: key pressed 0x000000000005
lirc: key pressed 0x000080000005

So the toggle bit is 8.
