Yes. DXR3 is the n+1 card {n=DVB0, 1, ...}.
And do the DVB cards start from 0? I think they do, but I have a feeling that VDR is addressing them from 1.

Try to edit setup.conf before starting VDR and set primary device to n+1.
That's what I've been trying. It was a little awkward, since I didn't actually have a setup.conf (and VDR doesn't ship with one). To get around this, I made a file with one line:

PrimaryDVB = 2

which I saved as /video/setup.conf. VDR does read from it OK.

However, I've tried all sorts of values (0 through to 10) and it still doesn't work.

When I try just a single DVB card, I should use 2 - but that doesn't work.

When I try all three DVB cards, I should use 4 - but that doesn't work.
