Again the story: I've switched from dvb-c to dvb-s today keeping my
old dvb-c card as primary device for output - so every sat channel
comes from one of the other dvb-s budget cards (so in transfer mode
I've learnd).
As I see this, the first dvb-s card is choosen as device when I
view. But now, when a recording starts one another channel vdr
likes to use this card. However, this results in a freeze of the
output on the screen (aka stopping transfer mode to primary device
for output). So I have to switch to another channel and transfer
mode works again using another card, I think, and I can go back to
the first channel.
So it looks like vdr chooses an already used card (which isn't a
good choice, maybe this is because I have primary limit setting
(primär-limit in german) set to 0 - but I'm not really on the
primary device) and forgets to activate transfer mode on another
card.
2nd: when the recording timer has finished and I switch to another
channel vdr falls back to the first dvb-s card (vdr tells this to
syslog) and then I get:
clearing device because of consecutive poll timeouts
kernel: OutCommand: timeout waiting for COMMAND idle
kernel: SOutCommand error
kernel: outcom error
ERROR: ring buffer overflow
And finally the watchdog triggers a restart.
Any idea?
