After a quick look at http://www.dba.org.au/index.asp?sectionID=14 it
looks like I am only getting MPEG-1 Layer II & Dolby Digital 2/0 streams
in the standard definition channels here in Australia, not dolby 5.1.

But I'm going to try your suggestion & confirm.
