AFAIK, 2.6.10-rc1 is almost completely synced with the cvs dvb-kernel's 
Main release branch (no need for cvs dvb-kernel if you go with 
2.6.10-rc1).  There have been some good videobuf optimizations in 
2.6.10-rc1 and some additional fixes for the saa7146 chipsets.  BTW, if 
for some reason you still want to use the 2.6.10-rc1 kernel with the 
latest cvs dvb-kernel, then you will need the attached patches (see 
attachment).
