currently no idea why it does not do its job on Grégoire AMD64
based system.

just did a quick test and the result is a freezed vdr on a
vanilla vdr started just with the bitstreamout plugin (0.61f).

No matter wether I zap between non-AC3-channels or AC3- and
non-AC3-channels I always get the log shown below. While
zapping between AC3 and non-AC3-channles the system freezes
even faster.

This is exactly the same behavior like during my previous
tests.

@Gregoire: I didn't follow each of your notes about this
problem. Do you get the same messages?

PS:
I always used the original dvb and alsa driver of the
particular kernel, at the moment:
Linux version 2.6.8-gentoo-r4 (root@amd64) (gcc version
3.3.4 20040623 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.4-r1, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6))
