[vdr] MPlayer front-end

Has anyone written a front-end for MPlayer with a FF card or DXR3 as
output? I'm going to use a DXR3, but it has a similar issue to FF DVB
cards. Basically I want the script to work out what options it needs,
especially whether it needs to use -vf lavc, depending on the source.
For MPEG 1/2 it can pass it straight through, but MPEG 4 etc have to go
through the filter.
