2001-01-10   new project: diet libc, with public CVS

The project "diet libc" was launched to empower embedded application programmers on the Linux platform.

The diet libc is a major breakthrough for embedded application programmers on the Linux platform. The record breaking minimal size acts as an enabler for powerful embedded applications on Linux that do not have to carry the inherent bloat from glibc or other standard C libraries that crippled embedded applications on Linux so far.

The diet libc so far supports the following architectures: x86, powerpc, mips, sparc, arm and alpha.
