I have absolutely no problem with an existent "configure" in the tarball.
But I dislike distributions without a "configure", needing the autoXXX
tools according to the distribution, but using something like some
"bootstrap.sh" to build "configure".
Ok, sorry, if I hadn't made my point clear enough.
