I've tried with 2.6.12.3 and with a CVS snapshot dated the 12th of July. I 
also tried with CVS today, but it doesn't compile cleanly and has unresolved 
symbols if I hack around it.

I did find a patch in the list archives [1] which claims to make it work, but 
it wouldn't apply to 2.6.12.3 or the CVS snapshot I tried.
