[linux-dvb] Compro Videomate DVB-T300

Hi Ian

I am not an expert by any means, but the following did the trick for me
(from various advice from Hartmut Hackmann, Andrew Smith and Michael
Krufky):

Hi Anthony,

If it's any help, here's what works for me:

in your dvb working directory do the following (using an empty password for
cvs):

  cvs -d :pserver:anonymous at cvs.linuxtv.org:/cvs/linuxtv login
  cvs -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous at cvs.linuxtv.org:/cvs/linuxtv co -P
dvb-kernel
  cvs -d :pserver:anonymous at cvs.linuxtv.org:/cvs/video4linux login
  cvs -d :pserver:anonymous at cvs.linuxtv.org:/cvs/video4linux co -P
video4linux
  cd video4linux/
  sh scripts/merge-trees.sh
  make
  make install

After this use a modprobe saa7134 card=70 oss=1

Sometimes it picks up the card type with the above drivers but not always so
the card=70 just forces the issue.

Your dmesg should now correctly identify the card.

There are some patches in this forum for the on card IR input (might even be
in the cvs) which definitely work. I haven't worked out how to use it yet
but it is working.

good luck
