Hi,
I just got this card after reading reports it was supported in Linux but
I'm having trouble getting it to work.
The card is identified with lspci as :
02:0e.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)
I'm using the 2.6.13.4 kernel with basicly the slackware 2.6.13 generic
config file.
I have modprobed every module I found mentionend on the internet but
still get this when I run scan -c :
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
main:1882: FATAL: failed to open '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0': 19 No
such device
the devices in dev dvb exist (used the script that comes with the kernel
drivers)
ls -ls /dev/dvb/adapter0

all the modprobing hes lead me to this lsmod situation :

Still I don't see anything in dmesg about the card being detected.
modprobes only produce messages like :
saa7146: register extension 'dvb'.
saa7146: register extension 'budget dvb'.
saa7146: register extension 'budget_av'.
saa7146: register extension 'budget_ci dvb'.
bt878: AUDIO driver version 0.0.0 loaded
saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.2.14 loaded
Anyone with the card running who can tell me what to try next? Might my
card be broken?
Steven
