Wow have I been toiling to get my shiny new USB DVB mini-stick to work. So
far with no success. I have kernel 2.6.13.4 installed, and all the firmware
I can find at linuxtv.org for DVB-T USB sticks installed in
/usr/lib/hotplug/firmware. Kernel DVB config is set to default values.
So, to start at the beginning. Does anyone know if my device is supported?
There's Windows firmware available on their site.
http://www.dvb.org/index.php?id=104&mid=8178 is the page for it at dvb.org.
http://www.liteon.com/prod/getProduct.do?cid=1_22_1&xml_id=4_2&menu_id=4_2_22
shows a picture.
On insertion of the device I get these unhelpful outputs:
#dmesg
usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 5
ohci_hcd 0000:00:0e.2: GetStatus roothub.portstatus [0] = 0x00100103 PRSC
PPS PES CCS
usb 1-1: new device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0
usb 1-1: hotplug
usb 1-1: adding 1-1:1.0 (config #1, interface 0)
usb 1-1:1.0: hotplug
usbserial_generic 1-1:1.0: usb_probe_interface
usbserial_generic 1-1:1.0: usb_probe_interface - got id
hub 1-0:1.0: state 5 ports 2 chg 0000 evt 0002
#lsusb
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 04ca:f000 Lite-On Technology Corp.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
What have I missed? Modules not loaded? Kernel config need tweaking? Driver
just non-existent? I would so appreciate some help on this one!
Anyone..?
Rollo
