That is the way I understand it - a 3.3v PCI-X slot should be compatible 
with 3.3v cards and dual 3.3/5v cards. On the other hand, you should 
probably check with your vendor and not just take my word for it (I 
haven't tried it myself).

If you're in any doubt you could always go for a USB solution.
