Hi Brett,

thanks for the step by step explanation. It almost worked. I installed
the kernel source twice (when I rebooted after the fist attempt, I had
along list of error messages, and no USB. On second attempt the PC took
1/2 hour). With "make" and "make install"  v4l-dvb stuff was loaded, but
there is no /dev/dvb file or v4l-dvb file to be found. Is there a way to
deinstall  v4l-dvb and start again?
