[linux-dvb] slow mplayer with DVB

Hello,

I am using debian sid with mplayer 1.0-pre7cvs20060430-0.0 and kernel 
2.6.16. 

Lately mplayer has become unusable for DVB-T viewing: video lags sound 
and becomes badly desynched quickly. On the other hand, xine and vlc 
work fine with the same dvb:// URLs.

It seems the problem apppeared sine I upgraded X to 7.x, but I'm not 
sure. 

Has anyone noticed this?
