scrap that, i posted the wrong diff. correct diff attached here.

end result is the same: 2.6.18rc5 without dvb hg tree vs. 2.6.18-rc5 w/ dvb
hg tree:

DvICO FusionHDTV DVB-T1 card does NOT work. (other 2 DVB-T cards do -
Avermedia 771 & Twinham DST work).

i'm trying to figure out the critical differences in this diff.
i think it may be related to order-of-initialization; in the 'working' case
(v4l-dvb tip-of-tree), order-of-initialization seems to be:
	cx2388x dvb driver version 0.0.6 loaded
   BEFORE
	CORE cx88[0]: subsystem: 18ac:db00, board: DViCO FusionHDTV DVB-T1
[card=15,autodetected]

whereas in 2.6.18-rc5 the "dvb driver version 0.0.6 loaded" appears _after_
the "CORE cx88[0]" line.

cheers,

lincoln.
