Hi I have just brought this recently and thought everything was going well
but I get absolutely no data out of the thing even though it is reporting
that it has a lock!
scan fails to find any PIDs at all and if I use the settings from another
card (on another PC) I get:
/root(127)# tzap -c /scratch/download/scan-out.txt ch9 -r laptop:12:45AM
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 191625000 Hz
video pid 0x0207, audio pid 0x02d0
status 00 | signal 0000 | snr ffff | ber 00ffffff | unc 0000ffff |
status 1f | signal 0000 | snr ffff | ber 00ffffff | unc 0000ffff | FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal 0000 | snr ffff | ber 00ffffff | unc 0000ffff | FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal 0000 | snr ffff | ber 00ffffff | unc 0000ffff | FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal 0000 | snr ffff | ber 00ffffff | unc 0000ffff | FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal 0000 | snr ffff | ber 00ffffff | unc 0000ffff | FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal 0000 | snr ffff | ber 00ffffff | unc 0000ffff | FE_HAS_LOCK
...
which apparently shows it has a lock but there is lots of errors and no
signal???
I am wondering if I have the strange new tuner as described in other mails:
"New VP7045 with TDA10046 instead of MT352". Love to know how I can tell.
Couldn't see this in the archive.
My box lists it as Model 7045A 305621A-301-0T
