[linux-dvb] Problems with Hauppauge WinTV Nova-TD Stick on an Asus Pundit

Hi,

It's not a notebook, it's a barebone.

I think you are right, the problem may be related to USB, not to DVB.
Nevertheless some USB devices are well detected at high speed on that same
PC. Could the combination of the USB controller and the Nova-T be the
problem ?

I tried all the ports and it had the same behaviour.

As I had no solution, I have bought a PCI USB adapter (D-Link DUB-A2), and
plugged the WinTV Nova-TD in one of its USB ports. It works nicely.

The output of lspci is this (only USB-related):

00:03.0 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller
(rev 0f)
00:03.1 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller
(rev 0f)
00:03.2 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller
(rev 0f)
00:03.3 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 2.0 Controller
00:13.0 USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82xxxxx UHCI USB
1.1Controller (rev 62)
00:13.1 USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82xxxxx UHCI USB
1.1Controller (rev 62)
00:13.2 USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. USB 2.0 (rev 65)

The four first lines is the SiS controller integrated in the motherboard,
whereas the last three lines comes from D-Link PCI USB controller.

Thank you very much.

Jordi Gilabert
