[linux-dvb] Why does Mplayer repeat ioctl Commads????

Dear:
    I am using mplayer to play live tv.
    When I print the debug info, I found that mplayer send the same ioctl
commands, I wonder why is this?
    These commands include VIDIOC_G_FMT, VIDIOC_S_FMT, VIDIOC_QUERY_BUF and
also maybe some others i don't find now.
