In make menuconfig I have to choose the following (deprecated entry) for
getting the modules:

<M> Video For Linux 
	[*]   Enable Video For Linux API 1 (DEPRECATED)  
	---   Enable Video For Linux API 1 compatible Layer  
	[*]   Video capture adapters  --->
