Well, it happened again, and it turns out I don't need to reboot; only
remove and re-insert the USB stick.

[329501.358434] dvb-usb: Hauppauge Nova-TD Stick/Elgato Eye-TV
Diversity successfully deinitialized and disconnected.
[329509.215402] dvb-usb: found a 'Hauppauge Nova-TD Stick/Elgato
Eye-TV Diversity' in cold state, will try to load a firmware
[329509.243201] dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file
'dvb-usb-dib0700-1.10.fw'
[329509.952484] dvb-usb: found a 'Hauppauge Nova-TD Stick/Elgato
Eye-TV Diversity' in warm state.
[329509.952557] dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream
to the software demuxer.
[329510.370407] dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream
to the software demuxer.
[329510.731942] dvb-usb: schedule remote query interval to 150 msecs.
[329510.731952] dvb-usb: Hauppauge Nova-TD Stick/Elgato Eye-TV
Diversity successfully initialized and connected.

So, any clues as to how to resolve this without disconnecting/reconnecting?

Thanks,

Greg
