The AVerTV Volar Green HD (A835) USB tuner appears to have changed and no longer works out of the box. I bought one last week and tested it on a Mythbuntu 12.04.4 system with 3.8.0-36 kernel. Although the box is labelled "Model:A835", it identifies itself to the kernel as "A835B". Messages from dmesg as follows:
